Both Armor Equipment and Mid-Iowa Solid Waste Equipment became divisions of MH Equipment in late 2023. In this position, youÔÇÖll be representing a diverse line of equipment and there is always someone in the market for what we sell.

The sales territory is the entire state of Nebraska but is primarily centered in and around Lincoln and Omaha.

The Position

This is an outside sales position where the primary customers are municipalities and private contractors of sewer televising and maintenance, waste hauling and recycling facilities,

This is an established territory that has current and active customers as well as opportunities in the pipeline.

You will be working from an office in your home.

Our sales cycle runs from six months to two years.

Our customer base includes:

  • Municipalities that purchase sewer cleaning, maintenance and televising equipment, street cleaning equipment, and garbage trucks.
  • Private contractors purchase combination sewer jetting and vacuuming equipment, jetter trailers, sewer televising, garbage trucks, containers, and street sweepers.
  • Businesses utilizing compactors and balers.

Customers buy from us because our equipment is known for its quality, reliability, and ease of operation. We back that up with a full service and parts department.

  • Are not afraid to talk to anyone or walk through any door
  • Like to work with, drive, and demo heavy equipment
  • Understand the complexity of municipal governments and how they make a purchasing decision
  • Have sold to small to mid-size businesses that purchase capital equipment they use every day in their business

Experience Needed:

  • You have a track record of successfully managing a sales territory
  • Work history that demonstrates mechanical aptitude
  • Have been directly responsible for closing your own deals
  • Prior experience selling some type of capital equipment
  • Demonstrated you can work independently from a remote location or home
  • Have sold equipment with long sales cycles and one where several people can influence the purchase.
  • Have sold to municipalities
  • You understand how to successfully navigate through the municipality bidding process

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Must have previous year income of at least $65,000 in an outside sales position where the compensation plan was a base salary and draw against future commissions.
  • Ability to travel with overnight stay 20% of the time
  • Good driving record
  • Valid Nebraska or Iowa driverÔÇÖs license
  • Currently, have or must be able to obtain Class B CDL
  • Pass physical and background check
  • Must live in the state of Iowa
